A permanent exhibition of panels depicting the history of windmills in Malta was inaugurated at the Xarolla windmill in Zurrieq by Tourism Minister Francis Zammit Dimech and Resources and Infrastructure Minister Ninu Zammit.

The exhibition complements the heritage site project developed recently at the windmill environs. It follows the restoration of the windmill itself, a chapel dedicated to St Andrew and catacombs in the area.

The Mithna tax-Xarolla was one of eight built under the rule of Grand Master Manoel de Vilhena.
