Permits for 'artistic dancers'
Nationalist MP Franco Galea asked the Minister of Home Affairs in Parliament yesterday whether he could confirm that permits were being issued for 'artistic dancers'. He also asked for a definition of the term.
The minister, Tonio Borg, said that normally, requests for permits for the employment of entertainers, including dancers, were upheld on condition that the police could stop any show for reasons of indecent dress or acts.
