MCESD to meet unions' group

The Malta Council for Economic and Social Development has agreed to meet FOR.U.M., an alliance of eight unions lobbying to have a representative on the council, a spokesman for the unions said yesterday.

The MCESD met on Monday and decided to meet FOR.U.M. on March 9 and hear their views on the matter.

The unions belonging to FOR.U.M. collectively have about 3,000 members.
