Coffee table books on display
The Miranda Publishers book fair/exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until March 4.
Miranda Publishers is holding an exhibition and book fair, offering discounts on its 360° range of books and others, to mark its 15th anniversary.
Discounts of up to 50 per cent are being offered. People from all walks of life have visited the exhibition at the former Gasan showroom in Pietà since it opened over the weekend, either to complete their 360° collection at discounted prices, buy the books they have wanted, or simply to browse.
The Miranda Publishers coffee table books are bought mostly as gifts for all sorts of reasons and occasions from conferences to Father's Day. Personalities from the Pope to Romano Prodi have a 360° book, director Eddie Aquilina said, describing them as "a piece of furniture".
Projects in the pipeline for Miranda include World Heritage Sites in Malta 360°, Underground Malta 360° Vol. II, Malta From the Sea 360° Vol. I and II, 7,000 Years of History in Malta 360° and The Knights of St John in Malta 360°.
Miranda Publishers also intend to launch a Malta 360° book club later on in the year, whereby members can avail themselves of the entire 360° collection on payment of a monthly subscription.
Moreover, all the Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti exhibitions, dating back to the first in 1992, have also been photographed by Miranda and, in collaboration with Patrimonju, it is publishing a series of books entitled Great Exhibitions Revisited, the first two of which should be launched in May.
The book fair/exhibition is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. until March 4.
