A man has been given a two-year jail term suspended for three years for exercising a presumed right when he broke into his panel beater's garage and took his car which had been there for repairs for about a fortnight.
Magistrate Abigail Lofaro also found Paul Polidano guilty of stealing tools from Carmelo Borda's garage when he went to retrieve his car on June 3, 2002 but cleared him of caus-ing damage due to lack of evidence.
Police Inspectors Carmelo Magri and Christopher Galea Scannura prosecuted.
