Following the recent sale of an Avro RJ 85 to the Bahrain Defence Force, Peregrine Aviation Leasing Company Limited, a subsidiary of Air Malta, has leased three more Avro aircraft, Air Malta said yesterday.
Another two RJ70 aircraft have been leased to ULL14, an Austrian airline, which will operate the aircraft on scheduled services between the Isle of Man and various airports in the UK. The services will be marketed by EuroManx.
The lease is for a period of two years but can be extended for a further one-year period. The aircraft are being delivered to ULL14 towards the end of this month and in early March.
Another RJ70 has been leased to Transwede Airways AB, a Swedish airline. The aircraft will be operated on scheduled and charter services and will be delivered to Transwede in early March.
Air Malta is negotiating the lease of two RJ85 aircraft and is actively marketing a remaining RJ70.
