A conciliation meeting yesterday between the Union Haddiema Maghqudin and social work agency Sedqa was put off to Friday and both sides said progress had been registered.

The meeting was called following a one-hour strike at Sedqa on Monday with the union saying the management had not yet paid increments to employees.

Sedqa has argued that the strike was "uncalled for" as meetings with the union about the matter were in the pipeline.

The conciliation meeting was chaired by Noel Vella, Acting Director of Industrial Relations and Employment.
