New flights by Emirates

Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, is to lay on more flights to Sydney and Bangkok.

An extra thrice-weekly service from Dubai to Sydney via Bangkok will be introduced on March 29, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The service will become daily from May 1.

Also on May 1, Emirates' Dubai-Bangkok-Sydney daily service will be extended to Auckland in New Zealand, replacing the current Dubai-Sydney-Auckland daily service which will then terminate in Sydney. This move opens up new connections between Bangkok and Sydney and Bangkok and Auckland.

Emirates currently operate three direct flights a week between Malta and Dubai, providing a convenient connection to or from Australia and the Far East.
