The Cottonera Sports Complex will be the venue of another competition to be organised by the Malta Weightlifting Federation (MWF) tomorrow at 3 p.m.

Interest in this event should be high as most lifters are looking forward to obtain the maximum qualifying totals. The scores obtained will be converted into points and added to the lifters' aggregate tallies. This classification, comprising the weightlifters' performances in a number of events, will eventually determine Malta's representatives for the Small Nations Championships, to be held here in April, and the Mediterranean Games, to be staged in Spain next June.

Youth lifters are also expected to feature prominently tomorrow as this competition forms part of the Ranking Tournament.
