Get a taste of Africa this Saturday as St James Cavalier, Valletta, hosts the NGOMA Cultural Festival: African Sounds And Flavours.

The festival, which will run between 4 and 10 p.m., is being held by the voluntary cultural organisation Inizjamed with the support of other non-governmental organisations.

African food prepared by African families living in Malta, hair weaving and an art workshop for children will be held between 4 and 6 p.m.

There will also be a stand selling fair-traded crafts, instruments, food items and CDs of world music.

Entrance to all events, including a live concert by the African band Kilimanjaro at 8 p.m., is free.
