Dog rescued

Two CID officers went to the assistance of a bitch they saw roaming on the Birkirkara by-pass at risk from passing traffic.

They contacted the Abandoned Animals Association who caught the domesticated dog and later managed to trace its owner. It turned out that the animal was lost.

The AAA's Alfred Fenech is trying to home 11 healthy Labrador crossbred puppies who were abandoned in Marsa over the last few days.

AAA will be holding open days at its sanctuary in Luqa every Sunday between February 20 and March 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
