An Attard man was yesterday given a two-year jail term suspended for three years after he admitted to stealing diesel from two cars.

Magistrate Saviour Demicoli heard Roque Mifsud, 53, plead guilty to stealing over Lm100 worth of fuel from the cars of Victor Farrugia and Mario Grima on and before January 12.

The magistrate noted that the diesel had been returned and that Mifsud cooperated with police.

Police Inspectors Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.
