Medical equipment for the new Mater Dei Hospital at Tal-Qroqq arrived recently.

For the time being, the equipment, loaded in 20 containers, is being kept by Inso Spa at the Freeport.

The government said some of the equipment will be used at St Luke's Hospital where there is an urgent need for it.

More equipment is expected to be brought over in the coming weeks according to the exigencies of the project and the programme agreed upon between the government and Skanska, the hospital builders.
