The top match in this weekend's Kinnie League is the clash between Hamrun Go Mobile and BUPA Luxol. It brings to a close the second round of the regular season.

Footwork take on Siggiewi Smina in today's match as Pembroke seek to bounce back to winning ways tomorrow against Depiro.

Their optimism buoyed by last week's impressive win over Pembroke, Hamrun will be looking to maintain their positive form of late against Luxol.

They have shown remarkable improvement lately as their game thrives on a tight defence and their swift counter-attacks.

Luxol are passing through a negative patch. Indeed, they are sorely feeling the absence of playmaker Steve Schembri. Coach John Tabone must work on the team's cohesion in attack to halt Hamrun's march and boost their own hopes of keeping up with the top teams.

On paper Joe Galea's Pembroke look firm favourites to notch their fourth win over Depiro this season. However, the Rabat side badly need a win to keep their chances of winning a place in the play-offs alive. An open contest could be on the cards here if the Reds fail to shrug aside the dismal performance from the previous weekend.

Footwork should collect their third consecutive victory against lowly Siggiewi. Ray Muscat's team have come a long way as their second round win over Luxol amply testifies. Their defence looks a lot more compact these days.

Kinnie League standings: Hamrun 17 (8-1); Pembroke 17 (8-1); Luxol 13 (4-5); Footwork 13 (4-5); Depiro 12 (3-6); Siggiewi 9 (0-9).
