Air Malta passengers having a connecting flight on British Airways can now be checked in for the second part of the journey from Malta.

Air Malta's check-in staff will issue passengers with the boarding card for the connecting flight so they can proceed directly to the departure gate.

This service has already been available for Air Malta passengers with an onward connection on Emirates, KLM, Qantas and Alitalia flights.

Incoming passengers travelling on British Airways and connecting to an Air Malta flight can also benefit from this service.

Manuel Agius, Air Malta's chief officer for operations and maintenance, said: "The introduction of through check-in will give Air Malta customers a better and more user-friendly service when travelling on onward connections. This is part of Air Malta's commitment to enhance its customer services."
