The Malta Billiards and Snooker Association (MBSA) yesterday said that 20 teams will be taking part in next month's European Snooker Team Championships which will be played at the New Dolmen Hotel.
Apart from the men's team tournament, the organisers will also hold competitions for seniors and women's teams. The event will be staged between March 7 and 12.
The Maltese will be defending the title won last year in Latvia when Alex Borg, Duncan Bezzina and Simon Zammit lifted the cup for the first time.
The Kunsill Malti ghall-iSport will be assisting the association in the organisation of the championships which are expected to attract to our shores around 250 people between players, referees and officials.
