I refer to the On the Dot item entitled Road Traps (January 24).

The drainage manhole covers referred to are currently elevated so that when the final tarmac layer is laid they will not be covered by the same tarmac.

The road in question needs just one layer of tarmac to be completed. It is not the responsibility of the Water Services Corporation to put pressure on road works contractors who are not working on behalf of the corporation.
