A charity meal in aid of tsunami orphans in Thailand was held by the Thai community in Malta.

All the top Thai chefs converged on the kitchen of Verve Thai Fusion restaurant, in Paceville for two days of hectic food preparation and cooking.

The meal, consisting of a vast variety of typical Thai dishes, was attended by the Malta Red Cross representative, Paul Portelli.

Various prizes, such as free meals, massages and beauty treatments were raffled after the meal.

A young Thai girl gave a display of traditional dancing accompanied by Thai folk music.

A cheque was presented to Mr Portelli for the Rachaprachanukroh Foundation which is taking care of the orphans in Bangkok.
