Nedved: Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved faces up to three weeks out with a knee injury, which might rule him out of next month's Champions League match with Real Madrid. Czech Nedved picked up the injury in Sunday's 2-0 win over Brescia which helped Juventus move five points clear at the top of Serie A. Juventus said Nedved had suffered heavy bruising to his left knee and would need "15 to 20 days'" recovery time.
Arsenal: Arsenal have been fined £10,000 and handed a suspended transfer ban for dealing with an unlicensed agent. The FA said the ban, for using an agent without a FIFA licence in negotiating the contract of Dutch teenage striker Quincy Owusu-Abeyie, has been suspended for a period of two years starting on February 1.
Van Nistelrooy: Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy should return from injury for next month's Champions League match against Milan, manager Alex Ferguson said yesterday. "He's doing very well. I spoke to him and he's coming along great. He's started running now.
