All the Acts of Parliament, legal notices and bye-laws issued last year will be published on compact disc.

The government said main and subsidiary legislation is normally published in April and usually comprises about 12 printed books running into thousands of pages and costing about Lm28 in all.

These will now be compressed in just two CDs, one of them containing 18 Acts passed in Parliament in 2004 and the other incorporating all the 533 legal notices and 11 local council bye-laws issued during the same year. The set of CDs is envisaged to be on sale at the beginning of next month.

The price for both CDs will be Lm12 and any one CD can be bought separately for Lm6. However, as a pre-launch offer, persons who book the set of two CDs by the end of January will be able to get them for the special price of Lm8.50.
