May I congratulate Marsovin for their commendable initiative to inform the public about the local grape harvest in their privately owned estates and from the contracted vineyards.
Besides the interesting information regarding the yields during 2004, it was extremely interesting to see how through a brief comment Marsovin managed to embrace the full cycle of the climatic conditions that characterised a particularly positive harvest, which we will surely enjoy while sipping one of Marsovin's specialities produced from local grapes.
Once again, congratulations to Marsovin for coming out publicly about the exact quantities of grapes from the various estates around Malta and Gozo. Such statements go a very long way in giving the local wine industry the credibility it has been building over many years.
Furthermore it would also be interesting should other local vintners follow suit and help us wine drinkers to gain a better understanding of Maltese winemaking and the whole spectrum of the wine produced from grapes grown in Malta and Gozo.
