¤ Mgr Anton Borg and Fr John Vella will celebrate Mass at the chapel of the Don Bosco Oratory for couples and families who frequent the oratory today, at 10.30 a.m. The beat group Straight Ahead, directed by Teddy Zammit, will take part. Mass will be followed by a meeting for all those involved in the oratory at 11.15 a.m.

On Thursday, at 7.30 p.m. Fr Charles Cini will deliver a presentation on the collection of books on Don Bosco.

On Friday, at 8 p.m. Fr Louis Bezzina will lead a prayer meeting for Gozitan youth.

¤ Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass as part of the Family Week being organised by the Cana Movement at Ta' Pinu Sanctuary today, at 5 p.m.

¤ Thunderbirds is being shown at the Don Bosco Oratory today, at 5.30 p.m.

¤ Hasan il-Malti, a story on the Great Siege, by Carmel J. Camilleri, is being staged at Xewkija parish centre today, at 5.30 p.m.

¤ The feast of St Publius is being celebrated at the church dedicated to the saint near Ta' Pinu Sanctuary today. Vespers at 3.30 p.m. will be followed by Mass, led by Mgr Joseph Curmi who will also deliver the panegyric.

¤ Tomorrow at 5 p.m., Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass to mark the feast of St Francis des Sales, patron saint of journalists, at the church of the Sacred Heart Franciscan Sisters, Palm Street, Victoria tomorrow at 5 p.m. Journalists, writers and all those involved in the mass media are invited to attend.

¤ A coffee morning is being organised by the Kercem feast decorations group on Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Respite Centre, Ghajnsielem. For tickets phone 2156-5773 or 9944-9800.

¤ Minister Giovanna Debono will inaugurate an exhibition of paintings, miniature carts and carnival costumes by pupils of Gozitan primary schools on Friday, at 7 p.m. at the exhibition hall of the Gozo Ministry on St Francis Square, Victoria. The exhibition, which will also feature photos and other carnival mementoes, will be open till February 2.

¤ The Victoria Scout Group is holding its annual general meeting on Saturday at 6.30 p.m. at its headquarters in St Dominica Street, Victoria. During the meeting reports of the group scout leader, the secretary and the treasurer will be presented. The Scout, Venture Scout and Club Scout of the Year awards will also be presented.
