The social partners met again yesterday afternoon at the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development to discuss the trade unions' proposals aimed at boosting competitiveness and productivity but the meeting proved inconclusive.
Speaking to journalists at about 6 p.m., Godwin Grima, the Principal Permanent Secretary, said the social partners had unanimously decided not to make any statement as negotiations were not over yet.
At yesterday's meeting that started at 2 p.m. the employers and the government sat down to consider the proposals the unions submitted on Thursday.
The social partners are expected to meet again today at 1 p.m.
