The Australian High Commission, in collaboration with the St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity and the Maltese Australian Chamber of Commerce and Culture, will be showing two indigenous themed films as part of the Australian film festival which starts tomorrow. The Tracker, starring the well-known indigenous actor David Gulpilil, will be screened tomorrow and on Wednesday and Walkabout will be shown on Saturday.
The Tracker has been described by The Sunday Times (of London) as one of the best Australian films ever made. Walkabout has a mystical storyline recounting the spiritual journey of two siblings abandoned in the Australian outback.
