Nigerian striker Chris Oretan last night agreed to rejoin Valletta.

He signed on for six months but the Citizens have an option to extend his services for another year.

Oretan came to Malta last week during which he underwent a successful medical and also played for Valletta in a friendly match against Dutch side Willem II on Tuesday.

It seemed, however, that the Nigerian was approached by other clubs since his return. As his international clearance had failed to arrive in time for the club to deposit his registration at the Malta FA, Oretan took the opportunity to discuss the possibility of looking for a more lucrative offer.

However, it seems that after some lengthy negotiations yesterday, the prolific striker finally decided to rejoin the Citizens with whom he had so much outstanding success a couple of years back.

The speedy Oretan is expected to be in the Valletta side for their next Premier League match against Birkirkara.
