Accused of injuring linesman

A man was yesterday accused of attacking and injuring a linesman at Ta' Qali football stadium and was remanded in custody.

Carmelo Chircop, 40, of Msida, was accused of abusive behaviour, attacking and injuring a linesman during a match and breaching public peace by uttering foul language.

Chircop was further charged with relapsing.
