Caritas tsunami fund tops Lm92,000

The Emergency Asia Fund set up by Caritas Malta in the wake of the tsunami disaster has now topped Lm92,000.

The money raised will be sent to Caritas Internationalis which, in turn, will distribute the funds to the Caritas agencies in the countries affected by the disaster, Caritas said.

Contributions to the fund may be made at Caritas Malta offices, 5, Lion Street, Floriana, by cheque payable to Caritas Malta Asia Fund or by a deposit to HSBC Bank Malta account 089 021513052, Bank of Valletta account 4001397119-9 and APS Bank account 2000024614-0. Donations may also be handed in to parish priests.
