The Logistics Foundation Centre, the local branch for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT-UK) - www.ciltuk.org.uk - is currently accepting applications for this month's intake for the Certificate and Professional Diploma programmes.

Certificate Programme - NVQ Level 3

The Certificate in Logistics and Transport consists of two modules and covers areas like Management, International Trade and Freight, Sourcing and Purchasing Skills, Production Planning and Materials, Inventory Techniques and Ware-housing and Distribution Skills.

This programme is aimed at exper-ienced personnel with no qualifications, like supervisors and first-line managers.

Professional Diploma Programme - NVQ Level 4

The Professional Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management consists of four modules and covers areas like Management in Logistics and Transport and Supply Chain Management. Some modules in this programme, like International Business Management, Purchasing Management, Production Planning and Materials Management, Inven-tory Management, Warehouse Management and Movement of Goods, are optional.
