Malta and Botswana have established diplomatic relations.

Last week, the High Commissioner for Malta in London, George Bonello Dupuis, and the High Commissioner for the Republic of Botswana, Roy Blackbeard signed a joint declaration establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The signing ceremony was held at the Malta High Commission in London.

Malta and Botswana are Commonwealth countries and have long cooperated with each other on Commonwealth related matters.
