Charity should prevail all year round, students insist

The Comunio evening of music, dance, literature and entertainment in aid of charity.

Through their annual charity campaign, Comunio, a students' organisation within the Institute of Business and Commerce of the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology, want to stress the point that charity and solidarity are not only characteristics synonymous with the festive season but all year long. This year's campaign started off with a Doughnut Day whereby students and members of staff bought doughnuts with the profits going to the Comunio charity fund.

This fund aims at raising money in aid of various charity institutions supported by Comunio, especially children's homes where students from the Institute of Business and Commerce give their assistance regularly throughout the year.

An abseiling event for charity was also held.

The climax of the charity campaign was an evening of music, dance, literature and entertainment at the Sir Temi Zammit Hall of the University of Malta where students performed live. Some of the best artistes also took part.

The campaign closes at the end of this month.
