Positive experience

On November 1, my wife and I arrived in Gozo for two weeks' holiday. On November 8, while waiting for a bus in Xaghra, I suffered a heart attack. I would like to thank everyone who helped me in my hour of need.

Individual names would be too numerous to mention but I would like to thank the people of Xaghra for giving their help so readily; the ambulance crew for getting me to hospital so quickly; the doctors and nurses of the CCU at Gozo Hospital for their professionalism, care and compassion which set me on the road to recovery; the doctors and staff of the cardiac unit at St Luke's Hospital in Malta for their expertise and efficiency in carrying out the angioplasty procedure which has helped me to achieve a complete recovery.

Last, but not least, I would like to thank the management and staff of the Cornucopia Hotel, Gozo, whose understanding and kindness shown, especially to my wife while I was in hospital, was wonderful.

The medical services in Malta and Gozo experienced by me must be equal to any in Europe and better than most and I will remain eternally grateful.
