Photographer Joe P. Smith is in the international news again after winning the second prize in the Telegraph Travel Photography Awards in the UK. The awards were organised by The Daily Telegraph in conjunction with The Royal Photographic Society and Jessops of the UK.

This year's competition attracted no fewer than 9,000 entries and was divided into three categories: for students, for full-time professionals and for part-time professionals. Mr Smith's photograph, which shows youngsters having fun on the Senglea waterfront, placed second in the third category.
