Ian Thorpe is undecided about whether he will swim at this year's world championships and plans to cut back on his commitments ahead of the 2008 Olympics.

Thorpe has not resumed training since winning the 200 and 400 metres freestyle gold medals at the Athens Games.

"I'm not 100 per cent certain what I'll be doing but I just want to concentrate more on training this year than competing," Thorpe said.

Thorpe has won 11 gold medals at the world championships and says he is prepared to give up the chance of adding to his collection in Montreal so he can focus on the Beijing Olympics.
