Michael Cooper emerged victorious on his coaching debut after Carmelo Anthony scored 24 points in his first game in two weeks to lead the Denver Nuggets to a 97-92 triumph over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday. Cooper took over from Jeff Bzdelik after a six-game losing streak dropped the disappointing Nuggets to 13-15. Denver responded with a gritty effort despite missing three regulars to win for just the second time in their last 10 games.
