The European Movement (Malta) wishes readers, the Editor and staff of The Sunday Times a happy and more peaceful 2005. The first edition of "Our Europe" made its appearance in this newspaper on January 4, 1998. Not one edition has been missed since then.

On that day we had written: "...Labour Party officials and MPs are warming to the idea that 'nays' may turn into 'maybes' and 'maybes' may turn into 'yeas'.

"The party leadership said that it does not want to render things irreversible. So then it's a question of time, isn't it? Probably. Wasted time, perhaps."
