The Vittoriosa local council is inviting the public to donate clothes, bed sheets, food and medicine to be sent to victims of the earthquake in Asia.

The council, along with the Dominican parish of the locality, will be making a collection near Couvre Porte on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The council is appealing to the public to be generous.

Those who cannot take their goods to the Couvre Porte can phone 2166 2166 so that the council will make the necessary arrangements to pick them up.

It is important that donated items are in a good condition, the council said.
