I would like to inform Em. C. Spiteri of London that I too lived in London for 38 years and I know exactly what I am talking about.

I know that the temperatures in the UK are very low but I also know that the temperatures in Malta are also high in the summer and therefore what they need in England for heating we could do with for air-conditioning. Maybe it is such a long time ago since Mr Spiteri left Malta that he does not realise that the houses in Malta are very damp, built for the heat and certainly bigger than the normal house in the UK.

As for prices I know that too. Ask any British tourist about the cost of living in Malta and they will inform the correspondent. We live in an age where travel is common and for his information I visit Britain more than once a year.

As for begging for free travel I am surprised he has to beg for it as my friends get their free travel cards the moment they become old age pensioners. I am very well informed and so are many other people in Malta.
