I was very infuriated recently by Amazon's policy and lack of regard to their Maltese customers. Like hundreds of other Maltese citizens I used to shop online with Amazon. However, I have discovered that Amazon treat Malta as "Rest of the world" when it comes to postage and packing so that we have to pay the same postage a Brazilian or an Argentine pays. Also, due to this policy, we aren't allowed certain privileges other EU member state citizens enjoy. When I pointed this out to the administration of the website, they curtly remarked that they don't care and that they would not change their policy.

As a citizen of a member state in the EU, I feel that Amazon is discriminating against us. If they don't change their policies, I urge fellow customers of this website to find new pastures. Play.com, I have discovered, offers the same items at the same prices, delivering their goods worldwide for free.
