A woman was found yesterday morning suffering from stab wounds at a residence in St Anthony Street, St Paul's Bay.

Preliminary police investigations established that the woman, who was found at around 8.15 a.m., had been stabbed with a pointed instrument allegedly by a man who entered the building.

The woman was taken to St Luke's Hospital where she was certified to be suffering from minor injuries.

Duty Magistrate Abigail Lofaro was informed of the case and appointed several experts to help her in the investigations.
