The past year has been a positive one for the Malta Labour Party because those believing in its ideas had worked towards the same aims, MLP deputy leader Michael Falzon said.

On its part the MLP had chalked up successes in the European Parliament and local council elections - and these results did not come by accident but because everyone placed common interests before personal interests, he added.

Dr Falzon, who was speaking at the annual general meeting of the Labour Brigade, said that despite these successes the MLP would not rest on its laurels.
