Euro federation supports GWU's stand

The European Trade Union Federation of Textile, Clothing and Leather (ETUF-TCL) has pledged its full support to the General Workers' Union in its resistance to measures undermining collective agreements and the reduction of workers' leave, the GWU said.

This support was expressed to Roberto Cristiano, secretary of the GWU's manufacturing and small and medium enterprises section, who is in Brussels attending a meeting of the federation.

At the meeting, federation president Valerie Fedeli expressed solidarity with Maltese workers and pledged the support of the federation and that of affiliate unions to the GWU, the union said.
