Bank employeesdonate time, money

Employees at HSBC Fund Management Malta (Limited) gave up a Saturday to spend the day working at the Sagra Familja Home in Zabbar.

Some members of the team washed floors and windows and others carried out the much needed maintenance work and paintwork on the boundary gates of the residence.

During the day, HSBC Fund Management's managing director, Joseph D. Camilleri, presented a donation of Lm5,500 to the home's director, Sister Rose Xuereb.

"Corporate social responsibility is a core value at HSBC. All the employees at HSBC Fund Management have worked very hard to raise money for the Sagra Familja Home. These much needed funds will be put to good use because they will help the nuns in fulfilling their dream to build a playground for the children residing here," Mr Camilleri said.

Sister Rose thanked HSBC Fund Management for the donation, saying it would go a long way towards building a safe playing area for the children in their care.
