A toy poodle and an Irish wolfhound won the Malta Canine Society's Championship Show held over the weekend at the Trade Fair Grounds, in Naxxar.

M. Aquilina's toy poodle was awarded Best In Show and S. Casha's Irish wolfhound was named Reserve Best In Show.

British international judge Tom Johnston judged the over 220 dogs representing 44 breeds.

The Malta Canine Society's next Championship Dog Show will be held on February 26 and 27 at the Cottonera Sports Complex.

The Malta Canine Society is a founder member of the Maltese National Canine Federation which is responsible for the registrations and issue of pedigrees of dogs.
