An SPCA committee member has renewed his appeal to animal lovers to adopt three young stray dogs that were roaming the streets of Kappara.

Pat Valencia said the three dogs could protect people's property but had the character of a poodle and were looking for an appropriate home with a lot of space.

The dogs, aged between nine months and a year, have all been micro chipped, neutered and fully vaccinated.

The dogs had won the hearts of the Kappara residents when they first appeared in Wied Ghollieqa in summer. Then, when school started in October they were going up to the children to play and while some loved nuzzling up to the big dogs others did not like it.

Ms Valencia, who has two dogs of her own, said a decision was taken to take the male dogs to the SPCA because some neighbours felt they had become a nuisance. "We are trying to home the dogs together because they are inseparable," Ms Valencia said. Whoever wishes to adopt the dogs can call on 9988 4565.
