Roads Minister Jesmond Mugliett said in Parliament yesterday that the Kappara roundabout seemed to be working better without the traffic lights system, although there were still some shortcomings, particularly with regard to pedestrian crossings between the Kappara and Gzira sides.

Answering a parliamentary question, Mr Mugliett said a decision would be taken on whether to carry out work on these shortcomings or wait until the building of a multi-level junction which could be taken in hand early in 2007.
