¤ An exhibition featuring a Neapolitan crib by Fr Charles Vella of Nadur is being held from today to January 6, from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. during the week and from 8 a.m. to noon during weekends and public holidays at the Banca Giuratale on Independence Square, Victoria.

¤ The feast of St Lucia is being celebrated in Sta Lucija today. Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a Pontifical concelebrated Mass at 9 a.m. The procession, with the statue of the saint, led by Mgr Gregory Grech, leaves the church at 4.30 p.m. The Leone Band will take part.

¤ A three-act play by Mgr Salv Borg, Taqbida ta' l-Imhabba is being staged today at 6 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Seminary in Victoria. Tickets may be obtained at the door.

¤ Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a concelebrated Mass to mark the Eucharistic Year today at 7.30 p.m. at Ta' Hamet church. Mass will be followed by the singing of the Te Deum and sacramental benediction.

¤ A bazaar with various food and sweets is being held at a shop near Xaghra parish church today and tomorrow. All proceeds will be going towards the Christmas activities programme which is being organised by the Xaghra Christmas Group.

¤ A coffee morning is being organised by the Cathedral parish at Crystal Palace, Marsalforn, tomorrow. Transport leaves Savina Square at 8.45 a.m. Tickets, at Lm1.25 each, may be obtained from Grace Debono (2155-1460) or Coney Island Bar (2155-1289).

¤ A ceremony, to mark the 30th anniversary of the Republic is being held with the participation of the Police Band, tomorrow at 7 p.m. on Independence Square, Victoria. The event will be presided by Minister Giovanna Debono.

President Fenech Adami will be hosting a reception to mark the occasion at the exhibition hall on St Francis Square, Victoria, at 7.30 p.m.

¤ Lectures for the laity on moral and spiritual theology are being held on Wednesday at 5 and 5.45 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Seminary. Fr Mario Grech, JUL, JUD, and Fr Alex Refalo, S.Th.L. will be the speakers.

¤ A carol service is being organised by the Legion on Mary in collaboration with the Anglican community (Gozo) and Sannat parish on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at St Margaret church, Sannat.

¤ The Gozo Youth Orchestra and Choir is holding a concert, with the participation of various Gozitan and Maltese solo artistes, under the direction of Mro Joseph Grech, on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria.

¤ The 26th Xaghra Song Festival is being held on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Victory Band club. Helen Micallef will compere the event.
