Sterling Income Bonds Portfolio launched

Jesmond Mizzi Financial Services Limited (JMFSL) has launched the third discretionary portfolio investment service.

The Sterling Income Bonds Portolio-2007 (III) is a composite of investment grade bonds, issued by foreign issuers, denominated in sterling that matures in three years' time. The total indicative return on the investment is 5% per annum.

JMFSL chairman Jesmond Mizzi said: "The investing public continue to seek good quality bonds on the international markets maturing in the short term. Maltese investors, particularly those who hold sterling, are not attracted to switch currency as the rate of interest in this currency continues to be higher than other currencies.

"For the same reason, investors with local currency wishing to diversify their currency exposure are also attracted to sterling. In recent months sterling has fallen and this makes it more attractive to potential investors."

This discretionary portfolio service will invest in investment grade bonds, giving investors exposure to Aaa to A grade bonds. Investors will get back their capital and the last interest payment in December 2007.

The indicative return per annum is based on the current yield to maturity of the bonds forming part of the portfolio and is subject to market movement until the pricing date when it will be fixed and advised to investors.

Potential investors may participate with a lump sum investment of at least £3,000 sterling or other currency equivalent. The service has a limited offer period. Investors should note that the underlying investments are subject to market fluctuations and the risks inherent in all investments.
