A Zejtun man was yesterday conditionally discharged for two years after he admitted to slightly injuring a man when he kicked him in the head because he spotted his brother's stolen number plates on the man's car.

Magistrate Lawrence Quintano heard John Bonnet, 45, admit to injuring Christopher Lee Gatt on January 6 at about 8 p.m. in Paola.

The magistrate warned Bonnet he could not take the law into his own hands.

Police Inspector Carmelo Magri prosecuted.

Dr Franco Debono appeared for Bonnet.
