HSBC Bank Malta has appointed James Dunbar Cousin in the new role of head of commercial banking.
As from January 1, Mr Dunbar Cousin will have responsibility for managing and developing HSBCs commercial banking business.
Mr Dunbar Cousin's appointment enables HSBC to better co-ordinate and focus the bank's resources and efforts to provide a better service to its business customers.
HSBC has also announced that as from January 1, Francis X. Gouder will move from area manager Sliema to take up the responsibilities of the senior appointment of area manager Southern.
Lorna Farrugia, currently HSBC's Birkirkara branch manager, will take over from Mr Gouder.
Elizabeth Vella, currently manager at HSBC, Msida, has been promoted to manage the Birkirkara branch.
"HSBC's main asset is its human resources and in James, Lorna, Francis and Elizabeth we have four excellent executives with many years of experience in different areas of the bank. I have no doubt that all four of my colleagues will make a significant contribution to taking HSBC Bank forward in Malta for our customers, staff, shareholders and the community," said Shaun Wallis, the bank's CEO.
