Claudio Camilleri is the new head of sales and marketing at Master Distributors Ltd.
In his new post, Mr Camilleri will be responsible for the marketing and sales of the group's range of products - including local wines, liqueurs, spirits and fruit-based squashes as well as all its imported products.
Speaking about Mr Camilleri's appointment, general manager Louie Camilleri said it was part of the company's ongoing efforts towards planned further growth. Claudio's marketing experience, coupled with his academic qualifications, would continue to enhance the company's brand image, its level of service and ultimately its sales record.
Mr Camilleri will form an integral part of the management team, which is committed to strengthening the company's organisational structures and increasing its market share in the beverage industry.
Mr Camilleri said it was exciting to be able to contribute directly to Master Distributors' success. "I am happy to be working with a great team. The past year has been one of great change for the company as it has geared itself towards a more aggressive market. I am now looking forward to the challenges and opportunities," he said.
Mr Camilleri obtained a Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK. Prior to his appointment with Master Distributors, Mr Camilleri was a recruitment consultant for foreign investment banks. His most recent post was that of marketing executive and trader at BOVSL, the stockbroking arm of Bank of Valletta p.l.c., where he was involved in the setting up of the company, its operations and the marketing and training of representatives from the bank's branch network.
